These small notebooks feature textured, monochromatic covers, each an original bird print design. Each blank page journal has been letterpress printed making it as pleasing to touch as it is to behold! The tactile nature of letterpress is especially well-suited to capture the intricate texture of these West Coast birds' feathers.

Monochromatic cover colors are meant to represent that bird species, identified individually the set includes one each: Raven notebook, in black, Stellar Jay notebook, in navy blue, and Canada Jay notebook, in an ecru / light gray.

  • Pack of 3 makes a beautiful bird watching gift or separate and send when you need a little something 'more than a card' for a friend
  • Pocket-sized bird notebooks are perfectly portable and will fit in back pockets or your binoculars case—we love these as little field journals for kids
  • 48 blank pages each, just enough for short to-do lists, shopping lists, or daily gratitude lists
  • Includes one set of three (3) small notebooks; 48 blank white pages each; 3.5 x 5.5-inches; pocket-sized set comes wrapped with paper belly band

Porchlight Press was founded by Heather Braun of Vancouver, Canada after a friend gifted her a small letterpress machine. Heather's love for the textures of the natural world, from feathers to foliage, suggested that letterpress might just be her calling ... and so it was! With her letterpress cards, she hopes to inspire communication by hand rather than through a device, and to encourage human connection and shared appreciation of nature's tactile beauty.
